Border Negotiations to Continue after Meeting Frlec - Granić
Ljubljana, 12 January - SLOVENIA/CROATIA/BORDERS
Slovenia and Croatia maintain the position adopted at the Strmol Castle meeting last November, namely that 99.1 percent of the border on land is agreed upon, Croatian Foreign Minister Mate Granic said after Tuesday's meeting with his Slovene counterpart Boris Frlec at Bezanec castle near Zagreb. As to 0.9 percent of the land border that remains to be solved, the two sides brought their stands a bit closer in today's meeting, yet further examining and consultations will be needed. Both ministers said they would meet again in the first half of February in Slovenia; at the time they expect, as Minister Frlec said, to solve the issue of the Piran Bay.
