President Kucan: 1999 Will be a Difficult Year

1999 will be a difficult year mainly because of everything that is happening in the world. This should sober us up so that eventually we should start talking about what is in the interests of the state and that state bodies would began to coordinate their work. What is needed is some common evaluation of what is going on and the key indicator of that answer is the National Assembly. Its responsibility cannot be replaced by any coordination of parliamentary parties, Slovene President Milan Kucan stated in a Tuesday night interview for the national television.
