Procedure to Establish Three-Year Permanent Residence in Slovenia

The procedure to establish three-year permanent residence of EU citizens on the territory of the Republic of Slovenia was published last Friday in the Official Gazette. Issued by the interior minister, the procedure will be used to establish whether an applicant has lived in Slovenia for a period of three years, that is whether s/he meets a condition of three-year permanent residence. The requirement is stipulated in the Spanish initiative, that is Annex XIII to the Europe Accord, which goes into effect on 1 February 1999.
