Slovenia Delivers Two Position Papers

Slovenia delivered Monday its position papers for two more chapters of the acquis, including the free flow of goods and competition, to the German presidency of the Union and the European Commission. In the first chapter, it will seek a five-year transitional period to apply common legislation regulating preregistration of medications for human use. In the second chapter it will seek to be granted a permanent exception allowing it to keep in place a more rigorous regime from that of the EU for the use of certain chemicals, primarily pesticides.
