Low Slovene-Kuwaiti Trade
Ljubljana, 15 February - SLOVENIA/KUWAIT/ECONOMIC/COOPERATION
Imbalance and a strong surplus on the Slovene side are the main features of bilateral trade with Kuwait. Exchange has steadily decreased from 1992, going down from US$ 2.2 in 1992 and US$ 2.3 million in 1993 to less than one million in 1994 and 1995. A converse course was only taken in 1996 when trade reached US$ 1.3 million, going further up to US$ 1.6 million in 1998. Services last year earned Slovenia US$ 133,000, with the strongest earner being health resorts, a sector of tourism that still has much room for expansion in trade with Kuwait.
