Courts Manage New Cases, But not Delays

Slovene courts solved 509,000 cases in 1998, 46,000 more than the year before. Nevertheless, court delays remain an acute problem in Slovene jurisdiction as there were 590,000 unsolved cases at the end of the year, and an average of 70,000 new cases is brought to justice each year, Supreme Court President Mitja Deisinger told a news conference on Wednesday.
