DS, SSS and Greens-ESS Begin Process of Association and Unification

Ljubljana, 8 November - DS/SSS/GREENS-ESS/ASSOCIATING
The Democratic Party (DS), the Socialist Party of Slovenia (SSS) and the Greens-Ecological Social Party (Greens-ESS) signed an agreement by which they have embarked on a project of association and unification on equal basis among the parties of the Slovenian political centre. Based on the similarities and compatibility of their political programmes, this agreement should strengthen the ideology-free political centre and establish an alternative to the ruling policy, said chairmen of all three parties, namely Igor Bavčar (DS), Viktor Žakelj (SSS) and Peter Tancig (Greens-ESS), at a press conference Monday.
