Kobarid Museum: "A Model of Good Organisation in the Protection of Our Cultural Heritage"

The Council of Europe award to the Kobarid Museum of the First World War is not only a credit to Slovenia and its Ministry of Culture. It must be recognised that those who conceived and founded the museum, in a period which was not conducive to the preservation of cultural heritage, knew and proved that a private initiative in a sympathetic and supportive environment and in cooperation with experts can be very successful, said Sergij Pelhan, Slovenian Minister of Culture, at a reception for the founders and friends of the Kobarid Museum and representatives of the Nova Gorica Museum.
