Eurostat Publishes GDP Growth Reports for EU Applicants
Brussels, 10 March - EU/CANDIDATES/GROWTH
Slovenia has the highest gross domestic product per capita of all EU membership applicants. With 68 percent of the EU avarege, it comes before the Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia, Poland and Estonia, according to the EU statistical office report for the second quarter of 1998. Average GDP per capita in all applicant countries is 39 percent of the EU average.
