Autocommerce Group Enhances Its Profit

The Autocommerce group continued to operate successfully last year, exceeding the targets set. The subsidiaries, subdivided into four lines of business (Vehicles, Commerce, Tourism and Finance) turned over a total of SIT 44 billion (US$ 253 million), a rise of 22 percent from 1997. With a consolidated nett profit of SIT 601 million (US$ 3.5 million) the company exceeded the target by eight percent and increased last year's profit by 14 percent, Autocommerce said.
