Drnovsek Urges for Speedy Integration into the EMU

Maribor, 16 March - DRNOVSEK/ECONOMY
Slovenia will have been prepared in all areas for joining the EU by the end of 2002, said Prime Minister Janez Drnovsek, adding the nation also should strive to integrate into the EMU as soon as possible, or at least peg the tolar to the euro. Drnovsek spoke about topical economic issues at the Faculty of Business and Economics in Maribor, northeast, on Tuesday afternoon. Apart from students and professors, his speech was attended also by businesspeople from Maribor and the Podravje region.
