N-Plant's Board Passes 1999 Business Plan

This year's business plan of the Krsko Nuclear Power Plant was endorsed on Friday by the N-Plant's Slovene-Croatian board, meeting at Krsko without Croatian members. According to the decree with which the Slovene government transformed the N-plant into a public company, both state electricity companies, Slovenia's ELES and Croatia's HEP, have to conclude a contract on power supply with the N-plant. Since HEP has not done it yet, it is unlikely to use Krsko-generated electricity this year, the board's chairman and general manager of ELES, Ivo Banic, told a news conference after the board's session.
