Senjur: Slovene Economy Displays No Signs of Recession

The world recession has not yet affected the Slovene economy, which has been evidenced by last year's good results and the expected growth rate of 3.5 to 4 percent for 1999, Minister of Economic Relations and Development Marjan Senjur told the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GZS) assembly on Wednesday. It is not only paramount to take appropriate measures when the economy is threatened, but also to know how to benefit from world economic trends, which Slovenia failed to do in the past few years, according to Senjur.
