Slovenia to Receive 1600 Kosovo Refugees

Ljubljana, 8 April - The government decided Thursday to provide temporary shelter to 2477 persons registered with the transition centre for foreigners since last August because of the war and human rights violations in Yugoslavia. It will propose to Parliament that Slovenia receive another 1600 displaced persons from Kosovo and provide them with temporary shelter. There are still 3500 Bosnian refugees in Slovenia that cannot return to their homes because of the unstable situation in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
