The Vic-Holmec affair started unfolding on Thursday as some findings of a report on the scandal compiled by an Interior Ministry special commission were revealed to the general public. The report said that the scandal had been orchestrated to discredit not the police forces from the region of Carinthia which fought in the 1991 independence war but rather Interior Ministry State Undersecretary Marko Pogorevc, who commanded the Carinthia's police units during the 10-day war.
