Bizjak: Human Rights Violated by Inadequate State Administration

Ljubljana, 29 April - A poor response of the government and parliament to the warnings of the ombudsman's office urging them to address the known systemic problems relating to human rights in Slovenia is actually a form of systematic violation of those rights, as problems in exercising human rights result from inadequate functioning of the state, Slovene Ombudsman Ivan Bizjak said on Thursday as he presented the 1998 report. It is the fourth annual report since the institute of ombudsman was established in 1994.
