Bavcar: Amsterdam Treaty Important for Slovenia

Ljubljana, 30 April - EU/SLOVENIA/AMSTERDAM
The Amsterdam Treaty which is important for Slovenia in many ways enters into force on 1 May. The last intergovernmental conference on the revision of the Maastricht Treaty stressed two goals important for Slovenia: bringing the EU closer to its citizens and preparing the EU to enlargement, Slovene Minister of European Affairs Igor Bavcar stressed in an interview with the STA on Friday.
