1998 Breakthroug Year for Telekom Slovenia

1998 was a breakthrough year for Telekom Slovenia. After four years, the company completed its privatisation process and was entered in the register of companies on 7 April after received the second approval from the Agency for Privatisation and Ownership Restructuring. In the middle of the year, it also completed the second round of internal buyout ahead of the second shareholder assembly last December. Over the year, Telekom Slovenia acquired 49,141 new subscribers, making SIT 58 billion (US$ 327 million) of revenues, about 16 percent more than the year before. Its clear profits rose by 27 percent to SIT 7 billion (US$ 40 million).
