Delo: "Cross-breeding" with a Reason
Ljubljana, 12 May - Yugoslav technical legislation that Slovenia inherited from the former common state was a fairly strict one. After independence such strict norms started deteriorating and the Association of Consumers of Slovenia issued warnings of a emerging legal gap. The consumer protection office, the market inspection and similar institutions could do nothing but advise caution to the consumers. Until recently at least, when the parliament finally passed the general product safety act that was modelled after European guidelines for product safety, Delo says Wednesday.
