The French Museum of Playing Cards at Issy-les-Molulineaux, south of Paris, won the 1999 European Museum of the Year Award. The presentation of the award took place late on Saturday evening at Ljubljana Castle.*** It 1977 it set up the EMYA, an impressive award to decorate the best newly-opened museums or those that have modernised their collections in the past year.
