Delo: Dogs of War

Ljubljana, 24 May - PRESS/NATO/FRY
It's easier to take the sword off the wall than hang it up again, the old saying goes. NATO generals seem to have fallen right into that awkward trap. If NATO cannot fight as it should, then serious talks should start to guarantee a complete independence to the Kosovo Albaninas and to remove Milosevic from Belgrade by fair means or foul, for which a large part of the Serbs would be grateful to the West. With its power and influence, Washington is surely not without mechanisms to implement those goals. Intelligent bombs, which are foolishly falling where they should not, by no means lead into the right direction. But it is chiefly Europe which should be aware of it as it let itself so easily become involved in a war on the threshold of the century as if there were not enough of them already, the daily Delo writes in Monday issues.
