Lek, Krka Publish Revised 1998 Results

Pharmaceuticals makers Krka and Lek published their revised account statements for 1998 on Monday. According to the latter, Krka generated SIT 54.1 billion (US$ 280.8m) of net sales last year, while Ljubljana-based Lek reported a revenue of SIT 49 billion (US$ 269.2m). Compared to 1997, Krka improved sales by 0.6 percent and Lek by 4.9 percent. While Lek saw its net profit stagnate, Krka reported a drop of over 20 percent.
