European Elections Are Important for Slovenia
Ljubljana, 14 June - There have been no particular reactions to the victory of right-wing parties in yesterday's European elections. Chairman of the parliamentary European affairs committee and opposition SKD leader Lojze Peterle hailed the election result, while co-chairman of the joint parliamentary committee Darja Lavtizar Bebler said she was hopeful the result would not affect the Europarliament's positive stand on Slovenia's accession to the EU.
