Dioxin-Suspected Foods Back in Shops Soon?

Temporary withdrawal from shops of all food of animal origin, milk and dairy products, eggs and egg products imported from Belgium after 15 January 1999 is getting on according to plans so most products will be removed from shops by tomorrow, national health inspector Joze Samu said Friday, a week after the temporary ban of sales was enforced for all products that could be contaminated with dioxin. Samu said certain products could return to shelves very soon, provided that shops get expert analyses from trustworthy laboratories in the country of origin proving the products are not contaminated.
