Ljubljana, 22 November - The week was marked by discussions in parliamentary boards and committees on proposed laws regarding privatisation and supervision of the process. In Bled a two-day Slovenian-German business conference was held, and in Maribor representatives of the parliament and the Maribor municipality spoke of the difficulties of the Maribor economy and possible aid. The Maribor representatives proposed that the state establish a consortium to finance the production of machine equipment and branch-specific groups which would encourage development by region.
