Weekly Review of Events in Slovenia from July 10 through 16

Ljubljana, 17 July - European Union's coordinator for the Balkan Stability Pact Bodo Hombach paid a visit to Slovenia on Friday. He discussed the details of the organisation and implementation of the stability pact with Slovene officials. The meeting between Slovene and Croatian prime ministers scheduled for Wednesday at which the bilateral property agreement was scheduled to be signed was postponed due to a delay in preparing the inter-state agreement on the Krsko Nuclear Power Plant. Defence Minister Franci Demsar paid his first official visit to Greece in the past week. Before that, he met with Czech Defence Minister Vladimir Vetchy who paid a visit to Slovenia and briefed him on the Czech experience regarding NATO. Foreign Minister Boris Frlec and Prime Minister Janez Drnovsek presented to the Slovene media the achievements and problems of the Slovene politics and Slovenia in the first half of the year.
