Slovene U.N. Ambassador Rejects Criticism as Unfair

New York, 25 July - Slovene Ambassador to the U.N. Security Council Danilo Tuerk said criticism that the U.N. mission in Kosovo (UNMIK) was slow was unfair. The criticism was expressed earlier this week by the U.S. Defence Secretary William Cohen and Gen. Henry Shelton, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Ambassador Tuerk stressed in an interview with the STA the United Nations were often criticised unfairly and this was also the case in the latest instance.
