Bodies of Nearly 2000 Victims of Postwar Atrocities Buried

Bodies of 1,179 victims of post-WWII killings perpetrated in Maribor and found in April and May in an old trench discovered by Slovene highway workers were buried on Friday at a graveyard near Maribor, northeast. The victims are believed to be Croats who tried to flee from Croatia, a Nazi puppet state during WW II, to the West.
