Health Insurance Celebrates 110 Years in Slovenia

Ljubljana, 1 August - Health insurance was introduced in Slovenia on 1 August 1889, a year after it became available in Vienna, Austria-Hungary. 110 years to the day, the first district health budget was set up in Ljubljana, an example followed immediately by other Slovene towns.
