Slovenian Police on Border Safety

The Slovenian police have estimated that the current system of guarding the country's border is sufficient to ensure the safety of the nation, while an increase in the scope of border security would call for additional staff and finances. Such a decision, however, lies within the jurisdiction of Parliament, as an additional 1,124 jobs would have to be created in order to ensure a higher than average level of border safety, said Slovenian Chief of Police Peter Solar at a press conference held by the Ministry of Interior on Thursday.
