Over 40,000 Slovenes Crowd Goricko to See Total Solar Eclipse

Ljubljana, 11 August - SOLAR/ECLIPSE/SLOVENIA
While the Solar eclipse could be seen in several parts of Slovenia, a total eclipse could only be viewed in the region of Goricko, the northeasternmost part of Slovenia bordering on Austria, Hungary and Croatia, at 12:47 pm CET. A crowd of over 40,000 spectators gathered there to observe this solar phenomenon. A great number of Slovenes, however, went to Hungary to watch it.
