PIF Shares Skyrocket

The Ljubljana Stock Exchange saw an eventful week despite the summer air of ease and relaxation. While turnover was low at only SIT 4.071 billion (US$ 22.1 m), of which half was made in lots, a general upward trend could be perceived at LSE according to Nova Ljubljanska Banka analyst Aleksander Simon. The SBI share index added 2.54 percent to 1829.31 points, and a yet stronger rise was recorded by Privatisation Investment Fund (PIF) shares that rose by as many as 11.5 percent week-on-week to 1158.94 points. Trading with bonds was slow.
