Delo: Independence is More Important than Bread

The referendum in East Timor seems to have laid the foundation stone for Timorese independence. In expectation of the final results, the atmosphere of fear is slowly changing to a feeling that change is in the air. East Timor will have to start from almost nothing, however no matter the uncertainty of independence, the people feel it is the better alternative, writes Wednesday's Delo.
