Primorski dnevnik on Schuessel's Remarks on Slovenia

The remarks of Austrian Foreign Minister Wolfgang Schuessel, who said that when changing its constitution, Slovenia should enact a law on protection of German minority and that the EU expansion would be an opportunity to ensure the safety of nuclear power plants on territories bordering Austria, should not be underestimated. It is true that Austria is a relatively small country, yet in admitting new states to the EU the principle of agreement is followed. This does not mean that Slovenia should adopt the election programme of the head of the Austrian People's party, but it is nevertheless necessary for Slovenia to take such weapon out of Schuessel's hands immediately, the Trieste-based Slovene Primorski Dnevnik writes Thursday.
