Sahlin: Slovenia Will Join the EU When the Union Is Ready for Enlargement

Ljubljana, 7 September - "Slovenia will become a EU member as soon as the Union is ready for enlargement," said Ambassador Michael Sahlin, who is in charge of the Swedish Foreign Ministry's sector for enlargement and support into European integration, at the conclusion of his visit to Slovenia on Tuesday. His visit was part of preparations for an international parliamentary conference "Slovenia on Its Way to the EU - Sweden's Experience of EU Membership".
