Mining Experts on Ecological Danger of Abandoned Wells

An international conference on ecological dangers of abandoned wells began in Lendava on Friday, along with the 24th joint exercise of mining rescue teams from Slovene mines and the Croatian mine Tupljak. The conference is attended by about 100 experts - representatives of Slovene mines and state institutions, and representatives of the Croatian INA, Hungarian MOL, and hosts from the Lendava-based company Nafta Lendava. The latter have also organized the international exercise Oil 99/Nafta 99 in co-operation with the national mining inspector, the National Rescue and Protection Office and the Lendava municipality.
