Ljubljana Satisfied with the Summer Tourist Season
Ljubljana, 14 September - Ljubljana city authorities in charge of tourism are very satisfied with this year's summer tourist season. Compared to last year the number of overnight stays increased, especially in the summer months, which is not typical for the Slovene capital, said Barbara Zupanc, head of the tourist sector at the Ljubljana municipality. The number of overnight stays grew by 18 percent in July and by 12 percent in August compared to the same periods last year. Numerous events that took place in Ljubljana over the summer were well attended, and a lot was done regarding promotion, Zupanc explained.
