Coalition Parties on Pope's Visit and Its Impact on the Relationship between the State and the Church

Ljubljana, 17 September - POPE/VISIT/COALITION/PARTIES
All parliamentary parties except for the opposition Slovene Nationalist Party (SNS) consider the visit of Pope John Paul II to Slovenia an important political event and welcome his visit. A lesser degree of unity emerged from their assessments of the visit's positive influence on the settlement of the relations between State and Church.
