50th Anniversary of Automation Programmes in Iskra

Ljubljana, 17 September - COMPANIES/ISKRA
A ceremonial academy will be held at the Ljubljana Cankarjev dom Friday evening to mark the 50th anniversary of automation programmes at Iskra. 50 years ago a factory of electric apparatuses, Tela, was established and later became one of the founders of the Iskra Associated Company, which began to develop programmes of automation. Those were first intended for the modernisation of power stations in former Yugoslavia and later also for industry and transport. Today the tradition of automation in Iskra is carried on by companies Iskra Systems, Iskra Sysen and Iskra Tela, together turning over about SIT 4.5 billion (DM 45 million).
