Weekly Review of Events in Slovenia from 11 through 17 September

Ljubljana, 18 September - Slovene Foreign Minister Boris Frlec visited Prague last week; Defence Minister Franci Demsar paid a visit to London, whereas a parliamentary delegation headed by Parliament Speaker visited Finland. Several foreign politicians visited Slovenia. Slovenia is expecting the visit of Pope John Paul II, who will visit Maribor on Sunday. The Balkan Stability Pact was the focus at the meeting of the parliamentary committee for international relations and at the coordination meeting of representatives of the parliamentary parties. The first session of the Stability Pact for SE Europe regional panel in Brussels was also attended by Foreign Ministry state secretary Ernest Petric.
