Bishop of Maribor Welcomes the Pope as the "Father of the Beloved Slovenia"

Welcoming the Pope at Betnava, Bishop of Maribor Franc Kramberger stressed that "for the Slovene Church, the beatification of Slomsek, the meeting with the Holy Father and his word will be our ticket to the holy year 2000 and to the third millennium".
