Pope Reminds All of Mary's Place in the Faith of the Slovene People

At the end of Sunday's celebratory Eucharist at Betnava Pope John Paul II turned his prayer to Mary. The Blessed Virgin has such an important place in the faith of the Slovene people, who sing of her in countless songs, and who have dedicated so many beautiful churches and chapels to her, such as those on Sveta Gora, at Brezje and on Ptujska Gora, the Holy Father said.
