The Fundamental Concern is to Preach Gospel, The Pope Tells the Slovene Synod

Pope John Paul II spoke to a gathering of delegates of the Slovene Synod at Maribor's Cathedral on Sunday afternoon. The Synod will hold its first plenary session from 4 to 6 of November. The Pontiff imparted to the delegates that their first and most fundamental concern should be the evangelisation of the people. "And in doing so, do not be afraid of demanding the freedom necessary in performing the mission of the Church," the Holy Father said.
