Pope Greets Chairman of Parliamentary Committee for the Visit and Mayor of Maribor

Maribor, 19 September - POPE/SLOVENIA/PARLIAMENT
Pope John Paul II greeted Chairman of the parliamentary committee for the organisation of the Pope's Visit Marjan Podobnik and Mayor of Maribor Boris Sovic immediately after the arrival at Maribor Airport on Sunday afternoon. On the occasion the Holy Father signed the golden book of the city for the second time. The first time was during the 1996 visit. A meeting with President Milan Kucan will follow.
