Peterle Pledges for New Definition of Centre-Right Politics

Gdansk, 24 September - The leader of the opposition Slovene Christian Democrats (SKD) Lojze Peterle spoke about the political tasks of the centre-right parties in Central and Eastern Europe at a conference of the Central European Right in Poland's Gdansk. Peterle drew attention to the fact that the centre-right political option has strengthened in the European Parliament, which, in his view, requires a new, broader definition of centre-right politics. The SKD leader pledged for high standards in politics and for a renewal of the Right's political agenda.
