Labour Ministry Unveils National Employment Action Plan

Ljubljana, 27 September - GOVERNMENT/EMPLOYMENT/LABOUR/MARKET
The Ministry of Labour, Family and Social Affairs presented Monday the National Employment Action Plan for the years 2000 and 2001 and Strategic Labour Market Development Targets for the period until 2006. Having undergone lengthy negotiations among social partners and within the government, the documents are to be submitted to parliament this week. According to Labour Minister Anton Rop, the documents are based on specific conditions in Slovenia's labour market, concrete problems encountered in addressing the problem of unemployment and on the EU employment guidelines.
