Global FDI Growth Trends Continue

The World Investment Report 1999 was presented late on Monday evening at the Faculty of Social Sciences in Ljubljana. It is this year very shortly in the part dealing with the countries in transition. For Slovenia it says it still instills fear in investors so the country lags behind other transition countries in terms of foreign direct investments. It is placed 13th with US$ 165 million of FDI, down two places from last year when it was still ahead of Estonia and Slovakia.
