Citizens of Ex-Yugoslav Republics Now Able to Get Proper Status in Slovenia
Ljubljana, 28 September - LEGISLATION/YUGOSLAV/CITIZENS
There are about 3,000 citizens of other ex-Yugoslav republics residing in Slovenia, the Foreign Ministry estimates. Those persons have not settled their legal status after Slovenia became independent. The Act on the Status of Citizens of Other Successor States of the Former SFRY, which takes effect on Tuesday, will enable those persons to acquire a permit for permanent residence in Slovenia.
