Italy Supports Slovenia Joining NATO
Ljubljana, 29 September - In the process of joining NATO, Italy does not see any weak points either in the political or military area, although the process of expanding the North Atlantic organisation or Slovenia's membership in it does not depend on their two-way relationship, rather that must be decided on by all members. In this matter, Slovenia has all the support of Italy, stressed Carlo Scognamiglio, Italy's Minister of Defence after talks with his host, Defence Minister Franci Demsar on Wednesday. Scognamiglio, who is on his first official visit to Slovenia, also met with State President Milan Kucan and in the afternoon will meet with Foreign Minister Boris Frlec.
