Drnovsek and Ahern Wish to Continue Very Close Dialogue; the EU Main Topic of Talks

Ljubljana, 4 November - SLOVENIA/IRELAND/AHERN
Irish Prime Minister Bertie Ahern, who paid a working visit to Slovenia on Thursday, discussed the EU, its future and Slovenia's bid to join it with his host, Slovene Prime Minister Janez Drnovsek and President Milan Kucan. On this occasion the countries signed their first bilateral agreement, namely on air transport, whereupon Drnovsek was hopeful that other missing accords would follow soon so that the legal basis for co-operation would be built up.
